The story is based on the novel written by Chandramathi. Sheela Chacko, Kurien’s mother, identifies that she is suffering from cancer after seeing a lump on the body. Kurien’s parents call him back from London without informing him of the reason. After investigation, it is confirmed that Sheela is suffering from StageII breast cancer and chemotherapy sessions need to be given. The whole family supports and stands beside her. During one of the session, Kurien goes with his mother to the hospital, where he meets Rachel and falls in love with her. Sheela loses her hair during the treatment but never lost her confidence in fighting against the disease. Finally, she overcomes cancer and comes out of the hospital with a smile on her face.
